Established in 1961 as part of the Pinellas County Historical Museum, the Archives and Library at Heritage Village has grown into the primary resource center in Pinellas County for collecting, preserving, and studying the region’s history. The library houses a vast collection of over 3,500 volumes covering various topics, including the history of Pinellas County and Florida, genealogy, historic conservation, and preservation. Additionally, it boasts a collection of more than 8,500 photographs depicting Pinellas County. Moreover, our permanent collection showcases over 20,000 artifacts related to the history of Pinellas County, featuring an array of three-dimensional items like furniture, personal belongings, communication devices, recreational objects, decorative pieces, and more. Heritage Village serves as the primary repository for collection items and archival documents associated with Pinellas County history.
